Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are one of the hottest trends in the crypto world. They are unique digital assets that can represent anything from art to music to games. But how do you create your own NFTs and sell them on the largest web3 marketplace for crypto collectibles?

In this article, I share my personal experience creating NFTs on OpenSea using character art from my visual novel game. You will learn how easy and fun it is to create and sell your own NFTs.

What is an NFT?

NFTs are non-fungible tokens, which means they are one-of-a-kind and cannot be replaced or duplicated. They are like digital certificates of ownership that prove you own a unique piece of digital content. More about NFTs click here.

Why create an NFT?

• Monetize your digital content and earn passive income
• Express your creativity and showcase your work to the world
• Join the web3 revolution and the future of the internet

Steps to Create and Sell NFTs

1. I created an account on OpenSea using my MetaMask wallet.
MetaMask is a browser extension that allows you to interact with web3, It also acts as your digital wallet where you can store your cryptocurrencies and NFTs.

2. I created the Nelsim Art collection. A collection is like a storefront or a gallery where you can display your NFTs and give them some metadata, such as name, symbol, description, banner image, etc.

3. I uploaded my character art files using the Create tab. I chose the Polygon blockchain as the network for minting my NFTs because it has lower gas fees and faster transactions than Ethereum.

4. I gave each of my NFTs a name and a description based on the character’s personality and background story. I also added some attributes to make them more interesting and unique. For example, hair color, eye color, etc.

5. I set the price and the supply of each of my NFTs. I decided to make them fixed-price listings but you could also auction.

6. I published my NFTs on OpenSea!
